Jennifer manages a passionate team of analysts charged with the coordination, development and analysis of information about communities and the market to support investment decisions. She also directs the Data Initiative, a program of the Piton Foundation, which focuses on providing neighborhood level data and analytic reports to support organizations make more informed decisions on behalf of the communities they serve. The Data Initiative has a sophisticated understanding of the role that data and information play in the community and policy decision-making process. Her applied research and analytic work focuses on: Urban Development Dynamics, Socioeconomic Disparities, Household Lifecycles, Household and Firm Location Decision Behavior, Policy Impact on Built Environment, Fiscal Impact, Housing Affordability, and Built Environment Impact on Child Outcomes.

Laurence has spent his career in analytical roles across the non-profit and for-profit sectors. Since 2011, Laurence has worked for education and children’s services non-profits in London and Denver. Currently the Director of Strategy and Analysis for Denver Kids, where he has been since 2014, Laurence facilitates strategic planning, and leads a team responsible for data operations & security, business intelligence, performance evaluation, and technology. An Education Pioneers Analyst Fellow, Laurence holds degrees from Princeton University and the London School of Economics. He lives in Denver with his wife and two sons.

Dan Stencel is Membership Director at Rocky Mountain PBS and KUVO Jazz 89.3, a position he’s held for two years. Following his graduation from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication, the Milwaukee native moved to Colorado to pursue his MA in Mass Communication Research. Since then, he’s spent the last 8 years learning about and executing all aspects of non-profit membership fundraising, ranging from stuffing envelopes to now managing and implementing a complex, multi-faceted program. His passion is the social science behind fundraising and philanthropy and the role of technology in connecting donors to causes.
